This is a sort of joint essay on several things--my history and experience with Kagura, anime vs. manga, and Kagura on Kyou, because those things all sort of blend together in my mind.

Okay, I know that was both long and incoherent, but. I knew I didn't have a lot of canon for Kagura when I apped her, but I feel like between voiceovers, the different faces she presents in canon, and looking at both the manga and the anime, we actually get a surprisingly strong and layered character, given how much screentime she has.

So, I leave you with that Kagura scene from episode 25, because as I said, it's my favorite. And it shaped a lot of how I see Kagura, and how I see her relationship with Kyou, and it's kind of...how I strive to be, as a Kagura. Other than violent and hyperactive, I mean. And, well. Feel free to argue with me! I feel bad because I'm very much not an expert on Furuba. I just love Kagura a lot.

Kagura is big on the RANDOM COMEDIC VIOLENCE. She is ENTHUSIASTIC and wants to love you the only way she knows how :(

In canon, Kagura's violence outbursts are most pronounced with Kyou, although she also attacks other Sohmas. She seems more inclined to hit boys than girls, although she does hit both. I will generally ask before I do anything, but it is definitely important to note that Kagura sometimes gets a little ANGRY and...well, it's comedic violence! Kyou gets throttled! Doors break! Life goes on.

Like I said, I'll probably still ask first, but...Kagura might hit you, either in an affectionate, playful way, or a jokey way, and it's funny when she is tiny and kicks your ass. If you are interested in exploring the relationship between Kagura and your ass, drop a comment saying so!
